The role involves scheduling outpatient follow-ups, documenting encounters in EMR, and collaborating with clinical staff. Strong communication and organization are essential for success.

Qualifications

• A minimum of six months of healthcare experience.
• 1 year Epic User experience.
• Proficient in medical terminology.
• Able to handle multiple responsibilities and high workload.
• Ability to adapt to change smoothly.
• Strong organizational, written and oral communication skills.
• Creative problem-solving skills and persistence in follow-up.
• Excellent interpersonal skills and time management.

Responsibilities

• Provide care appropriate to patient age with requisite knowledge.
• Contact patients at bedside or telephonically to schedule follow-up appointments and coordinate clinic schedules.
• Document all patient encounters in the EMR accurately.
• Coordinate with clinical staff for order clarifications.
• Perform general office duties including handling sensitive information securely.
• Participate in performance improvement activities.
• Additional duties as assigned.
