AmeriSave Mortgage is hiring for a Post Closing collateral specialist, on-site in Sandy Springs, GA. You will audit closing documents, verify signatures, and coordinate with the funding team to confirm funds and resolutions of discrepancies.

The role requires strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to multitask in a fast-paced mortgage environment. Eligible benefits and a structured onboarding are provided.

Qualifications

• Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook.
• General knowledge of mortgage industry preferred; mortgage legal docs.
• Strong oral and written skills.
• Ability to multitask.
• Must be very organized.
• Strong attention to detail.

• Works independently /self-starter.
• Team player.
• Must work in Atlanta office.

Responsibilities

• Receive and check in closing packages.
• Review documentation for signatures; verify addresses, riders, closing dates, loan amounts; identify discrepancies.
• Update system with audit notes and follow-up until issues resolved.
• Coordinate with funding department to verify funds or line of credit discrepancies.
• Inform management of major issues or delays during audits.
• Clear suspensions from banks for missing items in collateral packages or doc errors.
• Audit findings may require communication with closer/closing agent or title company, borrower or processor.
• Monitor wet lists for warehouse banks with advanced funds.
• Verify with closer or closing agent that the loan did fund.
• Contact closing agent for tracking numbers for packages being returned to AmeriSave.
• Distribute packages to be checked in to the team.
• Assist with shipping.
