Los Alamos National Laboratory (LANL) is seeking a recently graduated postgraduate intern for the AOT-IC Software team at the LANSCE facility in Los Alamos, NM. This full-time, year-round position offers mentorship, challenging projects, and opportunities to present progress to peers.

Responsibilities include updating legacy code, DevOps, network and embedded systems development, and ongoing system maintenance in a post-baccalaureate learning environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Mechanical, Electrical or related field with GPA ≥ 3.0.
• Experience coding in compiled languages (C, C++, Java) and scripting (bash, Python, Tcl, Perl).
• Ability to document work and collaborate in a team.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain control system software and documentation.
• Update legacy code, perform DevOps tasks, and maintain network/embedded systems.
• Maintain and troubleshoot software in a research facility environment.
• Work with a mentor and present progress and results to colleagues.
