Los Alamos National Laboratory's Materials Synthesis and Integrated Devices Group (MPA-11) is seeking post-baccalaureate candidates to engineer, fabricate, and test mechanical and electrochemical systems for energy technologies, including fuel cells, electrolyzers, and batteries. The role offers hands-on experimentation and exposure to broader research opportunities at a national lab.

Successful candidates will have a Bachelor's degree in a relevant engineering field, a GPA of 2.75 or higher,

Qualifications

• Must have earned a Bachelor's degree within the last 3 years in engineering (mechanical, electrical, chemical) or related field
• Cumulative GPA of 2.75 or above on a 4.0 scale (or equivalent)

Responsibilities

• Fabrication and testing of fuel cells, electrolyzers, and batteries
• Design, fabrication, and testing of components and parts
• Microfabrication and thin film deposition
• Programming in Python for automation of tasks and data analysis
• CAD design of custom hardware
