Job summary

The RFCUNY Research Foundation of the City University of New York is seeking an entry-level Post-Award Financial Analyst to support multiple PAs in financial oversight of government and private sponsor projects. The role covers accounts setup, billing, reporting, and closeout while staying abreast of evolving compliance requirements.

You will interact with Principal Investigators, campus personnel, and sponsors to ensure timely and accurate financial reporting and adherence to grant terms.

Qualifications

• BS or BA preferred with minimum 15 credits in accounting.
• High level of computer literacy; Excel proficiency required.
• Entry level candidates will be considered.
• Strong oral, written and listening communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Review and analyze award documents prior to accounts establishment.
• Establish accounts for awards and validate documentation per sponsor and RFCUNY rules.
• Perform fiscal review of independent contractor agreements for PA approvals.
• Provide financial oversight over restricted sponsor funds and related processes.
• Assist PIs in preparing budget modifications and year-end closeouts.
• Support on/off site audits and respond to inquiries about billings.
• Monitor accounts receivable, reconciliations, and cost sharing data.
• Ensure compliance with sponsor terms and uniform guidance; support audits.
