Job summary

The University of Nebraska–Lincoln is seeking a Sponsored Programs Post-Award Specialist I to join the Office of Sponsored Programs. The role supports post-award grant management, financial guidance, budgeting, and reporting from award through closeout.

You will partner with principal investigators and campus teams, monitor grant accounts, prepare invoices and financial reports, manage subrecipient activity, support audits, and help ensure compliance and responsible stewardship of funds.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year of relevant experience; additional years or education may substitute on a year-for-year basis.
• Proficiency in MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
• Demonstrated experience in accountancy.

Responsibilities

• Support post-award grant management and financial guidance.
• Partner with investigators and campus teams to manage funding and ensure compliance from award through closeout.
• Monitor grant accounts and advise on budgeting, spending, and reporting requirements.
• Prepare financial reports, invoices, and other grant-related documentation.
• Manage subrecipient agreements and oversee subcontractor activity.
• Support audits, site visits, and compliance reviews.
• Collaborate with campus partners and external agencies to support sponsored programs.
