Job summary

The role emphasizes assessment, intervention design, skill-building, and ongoing monitoring, with adherence to BI and HIPAA guidelines. A valid driver's license and background checks may be required for field visits.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in a behavioral science and one year of experience in behavioral programming
• Two years of direct service experience with individuals with intellectual or developmental disabilities
• Meets all personnel and established training requirements
• Completed at least six hours per year of professional development or continuing education in the areas of psychology, behavioral supports, applied behavioral science or school psychology

Responsibilities

• Assessment: Evaluating Participants to identify specific behavioral challenges and strengths.
• Intervention Design: Developing and implementing strategies that encourage desirable behaviors and discourage unwanted ones, often through positive reinforcement techniques.
• Skill Building: Teaching individuals new skills and behaviors that support their personal and social development.
• Support: Providing guidance and support to individuals, families, and caregivers to ensure that behavioral strategies are effectively applied in various settings.
• Monitoring and Evaluation: Tracking progress and adjusting interventions as needed to ensure the best outcomes for the individual.
• Collaboration: Working with other professionals, such as educators and therapists, to integrate behavioral strategies into broader support plans.
