Job summary

Advocates is seeking a Behavior Clinician to support adults with developmental disabilities and brain injuries, delivering person-centered, evidence-based clinical care. You will build Positive Behavior Support Plans, guide teams with data-driven treatment, and collaborate with families, staff, and interdisciplinary colleagues.

The role balances autonomy with teamwork, enabling flexible scheduling while contributing to a skilled clinical group.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in ABA, psychology, social work, or related field.
• Eligible for Massachusetts licensure (e.g., LCSW, LMHC, LABA, LP).
• Minimum 3 years of post-graduate training/experience in functional behavioral assessment and treatment preferred.
• Experience using Electronic Health Records for clinical documentation.

Responsibilities

• Promote Positive Behavior Support through training, modeling, and implementation of evidence-based interventions.
• Develop, implement, and monitor PBS Plans and Psychotropic Medication Treatment Plans.
• Design and maintain data collection systems, including systems for reducing restrictive practices.
• Provide clinical consultation to individuals, families, and interdisciplinary teams.
• Conduct referral assessments to evaluate behavioral, psychiatric, functional, and cultural support needs.
• Collaborate across residential, day, shared living, medical, and behavioral health teams.
• Ensure dignity, rights, and person-centered approaches in all supports.
• Maintain all required trainings, certifications, and compliance requirements.
• Use Electronic Health Records to document medically necessary clinical services.
