Job summary

Albertina Kerr in Washington County, Hillsboro, OR seeks a Behavior Specialist to support individuals with complex behavioral needs through evidence-based, person-centered practices. You will design, implement, and monitor PBSPs to promote safety, dignity, independence, and quality of life.

Partner with families and interdisciplinary teams, coach staff on PBSPs and Oregon Intervention System (OIS) principles, deliver skill-building in emotional regulation and social skills, and ensure compliance

Qualifications

• Verification of BCBA or equivalent PBS credentials is required.
• Experience delivering Positive Behavior Support to I/DD populations.
• Ability to collaborate with families and interdisciplinary teams.
• Proficiency with data collection and PBSP documentation.

Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive functional behavioral assessments.
• Develop, implement, monitor PBSPs and data-tracking systems.
• Collaborate with individuals, families, program staff, managers, and ISP team members.
• Provide training and coaching to staff on PBSPs and OIS principles.
• Deliver direct skill-building in emotional regulation, social skills, and independence.
• Consult with leadership on behavioral concerns and modifications.
• Attend program staff meetings and support ongoing review and application of interventions.
