Job summary

BD in Columbus, Nebraska is seeking a B Shift operator (JG1) to produce quality Posiflush syringes, maintain cleanliness, and perform quality checks in line with GMP and safety standards.

Candidates should read/write English and/or Spanish; a High School diploma/GED is preferred, or two years of manufacturing experience. Strong teamwork and organizational skills are essential in a fast-paced production environment.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED preferred; in lieu of diploma, two years manufacturing experience required.

Responsibilities

• Monitor operations for product quality and equipment performance.
• Make adjustments to equipment to maintain process quality and productivity.
• Perform or assist with product or equipment changeovers.
• Assist line technicians with equipment repair or troubleshooting.
• Maintain a neat, GMP-compliant workspace and document data accurately.
• Communicate with utilities or scheduling to maintain inventory levels.
• Work as part of a team to develop optimal task methods.
• Carry out other duties to support business needs.

B Shift - JG1

Position Summary/Resumen De La Posición

Produce quality Posiflush syringes at the rate or goal set for each line while working as a team with other operators while keeping area and machines clean. Complete quality checks on at the frequency needed. Ensures compliance with BD quality systems, policies, procedures and best practices, and all local, state, federal and BD safety regulations, policies and procedures. Regular, punctual attendance is an essential job function. Ability to read and write and converse in English and/or Spanish. Willing and able to uphold BD Values.

• Assignments may be in ISM/Sterilizer/Inspection, Plunger Rod/Flow Wrappers, Multi Vac/Case Pak
• Continually monitor operations for product quality and equipment performance.
• Make adjustments to equipment as needed to maintain process quality and productivity.
• Perform or assist with product or equipment changeovers.
• Assist line technicians or setter/operators with equipment repair or trouble shooting.
• Keep machinery, work area and floors neat and orderly and comply with GMP requirements.
• Perform quality inspections, process tests and record data accurately as required.
• Communicate with utilities or department scheduling group to maintain minimal material inventory levels.
• Work as team member to develop optimal task methods.
• Other duties as required to support the needs of the business

Education/Educación
