Job summary

BD is seeking a Posiflush Production Operator in Columbus West, USA. You will produce quality Posiflush syringes, cooperate with a line team, perform quality checks, and uphold BD safety and GMP standards. Strong basic reading/writing in English is required, with an emphasis on reliability and teamwork.

• Keep machinery and area clean and compliant with GMP.
• Record data accurately and complete quality inspections.
• Coordinate with scheduling to maintain material inventory.

Job Position Title: Posiflush Production Operator

Function: Operations

Location: Columbus West

Job Group/Grade: JG1, H05

Position Summary

Produce quality Posiflush syringes at the rate or goal set for each line while working as a team with other operators while keeping area and machines clean. Complete quality checks on at the frequency needed. Ensures compliance with BD quality systems, policies, procedures and best practices, and all local, state, federal and BD safety regulations, policies and procedures. Regular, punctual attendance is an essential job function. Ability to read and write and converse in English. Willing and able to uphold BD Values.

Duties/Responsibilities

• Assignments may be in ISM/Sterilizer/Inspection, Plunger Rod/Flow Wrappers, Multi Vac/Case Pak
• Continually monitor operations for product quality and equipment performance.
• Make adjustments to equipment as needed to maintain process quality and productivity.
• Perform or assist with product or equipment changeovers.
• Assist line technicians or setter/operators with equipment repair or trouble shooting.
• Keep machinery, work area and floors neat and orderly and comply with GMP requirements.
• Perform quality inspections, process tests and record data accurately as required.
• Communicate with utilities or department scheduling group to maintain minimal material inventory levels.
• Work as team member to develop optimal task methods.
• Other duties as required to support the needs of the business

Education

• High School diploma/GED preferred
• In lieu of High School diploma/GED, two years manufacturing experience is required
