Job summary

BD is seeking a Fillroom operator to work in a clean room and oversee the Posiflush syringe production line. You will monitor quality, perform changeovers, and keep the area compliant with GMP and safety policies. English literacy is required and strong teamwork is essential.

As part of a manufacturing team, you will ensure timely production at specified rates, maintain documentation, and support continuous improvement while upholding BD values and safety regulations.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED preferred; three years manufacturing experience required in lieu of diploma.
• Ability to read, write and converse in English.
• Detail-oriented with documentation and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Operate Fillroom equipment to produce Posiflush syringes at or above established standards.
• Monitor product quality and equipment performance throughout the shift.
• Perform equipment changeovers and assist line technicians with repairs or troubleshooting.
• Maintain clean, organized work area and comply with GMP and BD safety regulations.
• Record data accurately and communicate material needs to scheduling groups.

Position Summary:

The Fillroom operator will work in a clean room and produce Posiflush syringes by overseeing their machine, doing quality checks, cleaning their area and working together with the team to manufacture quality product at the specified rate. Ensures compliance with BD quality systems, policies, procedures and best practices, and all local, state, federal and BD safety regulations, policies and procedures. Regular, punctual attendance is an essential job function. Ability to read and write and converse in English. Willing and able to uphold BD Values.

Duties/Responsibilities:

• Perform all tasks in assigned operations listed below and operate all respective equipment at a rate equal to or above established standards while maintaining all quality and GMP standards.
• Continually monitor operations for product quality and equipment performance
• Make adjustments to equipment as needed to maintain process quality and productivity.
• Perform or assist with product or equipment changeovers.
• Assist line technicians with equipment repair or trouble shooting.
• Keep machinery, work area and floors neat and orderly and follow GMP requirements.
• Perform quality inspections, process tests and record data accurately as required.
• Communicate with utilities or department scheduling group to maintain minimal material inventory levels.
• Work as team member to develop optimal task methods.
• Other duties as required to support the needs of the business

Education:

• High School diploma/GED preferred
• In lieu of High School diploma/GED, three years manufacturing experience is required
