Job summary

Accenture is seeking a POS QA Analyst to support Point of Sale testing, release validation, defect documentation, and production support activities onsite at the client location in San Ramon, CA.

You will initially focus on functional POS test execution, test evidence collection, UAT coordination, and business scenario validation, with opportunities to deepen knowledge of POS payment flows, transaction log analysis, and triage support.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of work experience.
• Minimum 2 years of POS test experience.
• High School Diploma/GED.

Responsibilities

• Design and execute functional POS test cases based on business requirements.
• Gradually build knowledge of POS transaction flows, payment processing, settlement, and downstream reporting.
• Validate core POS flows such as sales, refunds, voids, tenders, receipts, discounts, restricted items, loyalty, and basic payment scenarios.
• Support POS release testing by documenting test results and capturing evidence.
• Assist in User Acceptance Testing coordination, including test data preparation and scenario walkthroughs.
• Identify, document, and track defects with clear steps to reproduce and evidence.
• Work with QA leads, business stakeholders, development teams, and client/vendor teams to resolve issues.
• Participate in POS support activities and analyze reported issues for triage.
• Learn to review transaction logs with guidance (transaction ID, timestamp, store details, amount, tender type, codes).
