Job summary

Serco is seeking a Project Manager in Middletown, Rhode Island to lead PORTS program initiatives for Navy customers. You will guide cross-functional teams, manage budgets, and ensure schedule adherence in a DoD context.

Applicants must be a US citizen with the ability to obtain DoD Secret clearance and hold a bachelor’s degree in a relevant field, with at least 5 years of managerial experience including P&L. Travel up to 10% is required.

Qualifications

• US citizen with ability to obtain DoD Secret clearance.
• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, engineering, applied science, or management.
• Minimum of 5 years of management experience including profit and loss.
• Be familiar with software development projects.
• Solid experience using Microsoft Office products (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, MS Project).
• Travel up to 10%.

Responsibilities

• Oversee day-to-day operational aspects of ongoing projects and liaison between Program Manager, Customer, and project team.
• Review status of projects and budgets; review project work products; manage schedules and prepare status reports.
• Prepare data items in accordance with DoD requirements.
• Adhere to quality objectives, technical metrics, and schedules
• Attend meetings and brief Serco management and Navy customers on project status
• Assess project issues and develop resolutions to meet productivity, quality, and client-satisfaction goals and objectives
• Participate in proposal activities for new projects
