Job summary

Waste Pro of Louisiana seeks an Operations Manager for Portlets in Lake Charles and Houston to lead transportation, hauling and support operations, ensuring service quality and safety.

The candidate will oversee metrics, staffing, budgets, and safety programs while collaborating with city agencies and customers to meet SLAs and drive continuous improvement within the Waste Pro network.

Qualifications

• Associate's Degree or equivalent experience in transportation, construction and/or waste services.
• Minimum five (5) years of diverse management experience.
• Solid project management and resource planning capabilities.
• Proficiency in using computer software applications (e.g. Microsoft Office, Outlook) to record, analyze, report and share information.
• Must possess basic math skills; fluent in English.

Responsibilities

• Oversees day-to-day operations of transportation, hauling and support operations, ensuring superior customer service and hauling of refuse without contamination of air, land or water.
• Formulates, manages and monitors operating metrics while diagnosing and improving processes, procedures, operational and customer service performance.
• Participates in developing divisional/district operational budgets and follows best practices in measuring and monitoring.
• Ensures root cause investigations for incidents/injuries with necessary training and discipline.
• Monitors DOT, OSHA compliance and regulatory requirements.
• Provides oversight for safety training and mentors field supervisors in safety processes.
