Job summary

Turner Construction is hiring 2027 Summer Interns for Construction Management and Engineering students in Portland, OR. Interns will be exposed to day-to-day supervised activities on an active construction project site and will learn project coordination, safety protocols, and lifecycle of building projects.

Successful applicants will interface across projects and departments, gaining experience in cost management, subcontractor relations, and documentation.

Qualifications

• Enrolled in a college/university degree program or Co-op, with recommended majors in Engineering, Architecture, Construction Management, or related field, with at least 1 year completed education

Responsibilities

• Support project team with coordination, tracking, filing, document control, and progress reporting.
• Follow project site signage and supervisor instructions.
• Provide progress reports to supervisor and learn construction management basics.
• Apply academic knowledge to work activities on a project.
• Maintain professional relationships with employees, clients, and subcontractors.
• Participate in training, meetings, and orientation.
• Comply with safety protocols and wear PPE as required.
• Assist with start-up activities, estimates for changes, RFIs, and contract requirements.
