Job summary

Turner Construction Company is seeking a Summer 2027 Construction Intern in Cleveland, OH to gain foundational knowledge in construction management, safety, and project coordination. You will assist in day-to-day supervised activities on active sites or at main offices, supporting the project team with documentation, reporting, and coordination.

Interns will learn through hands-on activities, attend training, and engage with subcontractors, architects, and engineers, with benefits and paid time

Qualifications

• Enrolled in a college/university accredited degree program or Co-op, with recommended majors in Engineering, Architecture, Construction Management, or related field, with at least 1 year completed education.
• Must be 18 years of age to work at a construction site.
• Desire to work in construction management and to learn about the industry.
• Commitment to standard business hours and overtime as determined by assignment.
• Demonstrate interpersonal skills including leadership or volunteerism.
• Strong verbal and written communication in English.

Responsibilities

• Assist on active construction project site or main office assignment.
• Support project team with meeting coordination, material tracking, file management, document control, and progress reporting.
• Follow project site signage and supervisor instructions.
• Provide progress reports to supervisor and learn about construction management.
• Maintain professional relationships with employees, customers, clients, and subcontractors.
• Participate in training, meetings, and orientation.
• Comply with safety protocols and wear PPE.
• Assist with start-up activities, RFIs, submittals, estimates for changes, and project close-out preparations.
