Job summary

Foss Maritime is seeking a Deckhand to join our team. You will perform deck and engine maintenance checks, assist the Mate and Captain, and contribute to safe, reliable towing operations aboard vessels along the U.S. West Coast.

Candidates must hold a US Coast Guard MMD/MMC, a valid TWIC, and be a current union member or able to join upon hire. AB limited with STCW is preferred. We offer competitive hourly wages and a comprehensive benefits package.

Qualifications

• Valid US Coast Guard MMD/MMC is required.
• Valid TWIC is required.
• AB limited with STCW endorsement is preferred.
• Must possess valid travel identification.
• Must be a current member of the Union or able to join the Union upon hire.

Responsibilities

• Perform deck and engine maintenance checks.
• Clean surfaces in common crew areas to prevent illnesses and contamination.
• Properly make and break barge tows, raft tows, etc.
• Assist the Mate and Captain as required.
