Centerline Logistics seeks a capable deckhand to maintain readiness of vessels and assist crew on tug and barge operations along the US West/East Coast and beyond.

Responsibilities include handling lines, tying tows, performing maintenance, and fueling tugs, with emphasis on safety and teamwork. Prior marine experience is helpful; training provided. Long shifts and on-call duties may apply.

Qualificações

• Able Seaman Special License and USCG credential required.
• TWIC card required.
• Good communication in English.
• Must understand safety and firefighting procedures.
• CPR/First Aid/AED and HAZWOPER 24 Hour training required.
• Valid state driver’s license.

Responsabilidades

• Deck must be cleaned and free of lines.
• Make up all tows as directed by Captain or Mate; train to perform skills.
• Use the radio.
• Knot tying, line/wire splicing, make up and handle heaving lines.
• Make up and throw heaving lines.
• Perform lubrication services.
• Tie off barge tows.
• Give proper direction and distance signals and information.
• Steer the tug.
• Fuel tug.
• Paint inside and outside of tug on an on-going basis.
• Empty trash, clean heads and galley daily.
• Remove all garbage and clean all decks at decrew.
• Clean heads on tugs daily.
• Loading supplies.
• General cleanup of tugs and barges.
• General cooking and galley duties as may be required.

Conhecimentos

Able Seaman Special License

Valid USCG Merchant Mariner Credential

Valid TWIC Card

English Proficiency

CPR/First Aid/AED Training

HAZWOPER 24 Hour

Valid Driver's License
