Environment Oregon in Portland, OR is seeking an entry-level Conservation Campaign Associate to lead our campaigns protecting Oregon’s landscapes, waterways, and wildlife. This full-time role involves educating the public, building coalitions, and engaging communities through events, media, and advocacy.

Ideal candidates are eager to learn, have a passion for the environment, and possess strong writing and speaking skills.

Formación

Responsabilidades

• Educate and mobilize public support: Conduct outreach to educate the public on our issues.
• Build coalitions: Reach out to diverse organizations to build support.
• Earn media attention: Organize news conferences and write opinion pieces.
• Organize events and manage volunteers: webinars, community events, and meetings.
• Lobby elected officials: Meet with city, state, and other decision makers.
• Research and write reports: Analyze data to inform policy proposals.
• Recruit new people: Bring on volunteers, interns, and staff.
• Run a grassroots campaign office in the summer and travel as needed.
• Support cross-team projects and trainings as required.
