Job summary

Environment Colorado in Denver, CO is seeking an entry-level Conservation and Wildlife Campaign Associate to help lead campaigns protecting Colorado’s landscapes, waterways and wildlife. The role supports coalition-building, events, and outreach to broaden support.

You will organize volunteers, engage with community groups, and assist with lobbying and research to shape policy. The position includes a comprehensive benefits package and an annual compensation of $40,250.

Responsibilities

• Build powerful coalitions: reach out to organizations and groups across the political spectrum to support campaigns.
• Earn traditional and social media attention: organize news conferences and write opinion pieces; grow campaign presence on social media.
• Organize events and work with volunteers: webinars, community events and public meetings; recruit organizations and members.
• Lobby elected officials: meet with decision makers to advocate for campaign goals and secure votes.
• Research and write persuasive campaign materials: analyze data to influence public debate and media coverage.
• Recruit new people to your team: recruit volunteers, interns and staff.
• Run a grassroots campaign office: summer office, fundraising goals, manage a team; may relocate for the summer.
