Job summary

Vertex Pharmaceuticals LLC seeks a Portfolio & Program Management Business Technology Director to own the PPM technology platform and AI tools, enabling integrated planning, reporting, and analytics across TAPM.

You will lead cross-functional efforts to evolve project management systems, strengthen data governance, and advance an AI-ready portfolio environment with a focus on governance, scalability, and stakeholder alignment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Business, Life Sciences, Information Systems, Data Science, or related field.
• Typically requires 12 years of experience or equivalent.
• Experience in pharma/biotech portfolio management or business systems is required.

Responsibilities

• Shape and execute technology and AI roadmap for portfolio management.
• Own the PPM project management platform as system of record (MS Project Server).
• Lead AI tools ownership to improve reporting, analytics, automation, and efficiency.
• Ensure data supports portfolio reporting, resource and financial planning, and decision-making.
• Define business requirements and support selection of future-state portfolio tech solutions.
