Job summary

Community Financial System, Inc. (CFSI) in Upstate New York is seeking an Investment Analyst to support the Investment Policy Committee and contribute across the portfolio management process.

You will research mutual funds, ETFs, fixed income, and stocks, and build financial models in Excel to inform decisions. The role involves preparing client-ready materials, assisting with weekly to quarterly research publications, and maintaining compliance with applicable laws and internal controls.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics or Accounting.
• Knowledge of the financial or brokerage industry a plus.
• All applicants must be 18 years of age or older.

Responsibilities

• Support Investment Policy Committee and portfolio management process.
• Conduct research on mutual funds, ETFs, fixed income, and stocks.
• Build and maintain financial models in Excel.
• Prepare RFPs and client presentation materials.
• Ensure compliance with laws, policies, and internal controls.
