Job summary

UBS Group AG is seeking a Portfolio Strategist in the Portfolio Advisory Group to provide investment guidance to Financial Advisors and Ultra High Net Worth clients. The role centers on asset allocation, portfolio construction, and product/platform fulfillment from the Palm Beach, Florida area.

You will work with senior leadership and advisors, conducting in-depth portfolio analysis and delivering client-ready presentations.

Qualifications

• Experience in wealth management/private banking or asset management.
• Strong knowledge of global financial markets and ability to express views.
• Experience in multi-asset class portfolio construction.
• Ability to articulate research in portfolio contexts.
• Desire to work with clients and strong client-facing skills.
• Series 7 and 66 licenses strongly preferred; CFA/CFP/CAIA tracks encouraged.
• Ideally 5+ years in financial services.

Responsibilities

• Deliver customized portfolio construction advice to financial advisors and their UHNW clients/prospects.
• Conduct in-depth portfolio analysis at asset allocation and investment levels.
• Produce bespoke presentations outlining UBS research, capabilities and views on asset allocation and product implementation.
• Develop fluency in all aspects of portfolio construction and use asset categories to implement allocations.
• Cultivate partnerships across the firm to understand platforms and product offerings.
• Contribute to production of original investment content for internal distribution.
• Collaborate with alternative investments, advanced planning, philanthropy, banking, and other groups.

We’re looking for someone like that who can help us:

• deliver customized portfolio construction advice to financial advisors and their ultra-high net worth clients/prospects;
• conduct in-depth portfolio analysis at the asset allocation and investment level;
• produce bespoke presentations that outline UBS research, capabilities and views on asset allocation, portfolio construction and product implementation;
• develop fluency in all aspects of portfolio construction and effectively use all asset categories to implement strategic and tactical asset allocations;
• develop key partnerships throughout the firm to cultivate extensive knowledge of platforms and product offerings (both traditional and non-traditional);
• contribute to the production of original investment content for internal distribution;
• collaborate with key partner groups such as alternative investments, advanced planning, philanthropy, banking, etc.

The team

You will be a Portfolio Strategist in the Portfolio Advisory Group (PAG). We provide investment advice to Financial Advisors and Ultra High Net Worth clients and prospects, delivering the firm’s intellectual capital and capabilities on asset allocation, portfolio construction and product/platform fulfillment. This role is located in Palm Beach, Florida and you will work closely with the PAG team members in the Southeast Market and those in major offices around the US.

Your Skills And Experience

• experience working in wealth management, private banking or asset management;
• strong knowledge of global financial markets, and a willingness to express your views;
• working knowledge of multi-asset class portfolio construction;
• ability to articulate research and implement in a portfolio context;
• desire to be client-facing and demonstrated experience with clients preferred;
• series 7 and 66 licenses strongly preferred, bachelor’s degree required;
• an interest in pursuing the CFA, CFP, or CAIA tracks, or equivalent knowledge;
• ideally 5+ years of experience in financial services industry.
• a skilled communicator, with strong presentation skills;
• excellent at organization, prioritization and time management;
• adept at initiating, nurturing and developing strong professional relationships;
• creative and willing to think outside the box;
• a team player.
