BASF Agricultural Solutions is seeking a Portfolio Solutions Manager - Crop System Wheat for North America. Based in Research Triangle Park, NC, you will shape offerings for wheat and canola growers, translating market insights into actionable portfolio ideas and sustainable business models.

You will collaborate with country teams, incubate new concepts, and drive pilots to prove value. A strong background in portfolio strategy, market development, and cross-functional leadership is essential.

Qualifications

• Hold a Bachelor's degree or higher in Marketing, Sales, Business, Agribusiness, Ag Communications or a related discipline.
• Bring 15+ years of relevant experience, including portfolio strategy, commercial or market development, business case development, and cross-functional work in agriculture or a comparable industry.
• Translate market and value-chain insights into customer-centric offerings, pilots, launches or scalable business models.
• Strong understanding of wheat and canola markets, grower needs, distribution, processors and downstream dynamics in Canada and USA.
• Strong business-case capability, including commercial logic, fact-based recommendations, prioritization and funding requests.
• Knowledge of integrated portfolio solutions across crop protection, seeds & traits, digital farming and sustainability; capability to design, implement and evaluate pilots and scaling conditions.
• Strong stakeholder management, collaboration and communication across global, regional, and country teams; customer-centric mindset for one portfolio solution.
• Experience with carbon sequestration, measuring, or farming and with traceability and sustainability programs.
• Experience across countries and functions (marketing, sales, R&D, digital, sustainability) preferred.

Responsibilities

• Develop market-trend views across growers, distributors, processors and downstream value-chain players in wheat and canola; translate insights into BASF offerings.
• Collaborate with country and Crop System teams to incubate concepts and portfolio approaches across crop protection, seeds & traits, digital farming, and sustainability.
• Drive pilots of sustainable business models with country teams and the CCO organization; prove market value and enable broader rollout.
• Build robust business cases to secure global prioritization and funding for tools and portfolio adjustments.
• Drive integrated cross-selling by presenting the Crop System portfolio as one customer offering.
• Support country roadmaps for the USA and Canada, including MarCom toolbox elements for visibility and usability.
