Job summary

Haleon US is seeking a Portfolio Optimization Manager to lead Marketing Mix Modeling, portfolio optimization, and investment allocation. You will translate complex analytical outputs into actionable recommendations that maximize growth and ROI, partnering across Marketing, Finance, Commercial, and Executive leadership.

You will also lead analytics talent, manage external partners, and help scale marketing effectiveness capabilities. This hybrid role is based in Warren, NJ with 3 days in-office.

Qualifications

As Portfolio Optimization Manager, you will be responsible for leading Haleon US's marketing effectiveness agenda through the development and application of Marketing Mix Modeling (MMM), portfolio optimization, and resource allocation capabilities. Acting as a trusted advisor to Marketing, Finance, Commercial, and Executive Leadership teams, you will translate complex analytical outputs into actionable recommendations that maximize business growth, improve return on investment, and support strategic decision-making.

This role will serve as the US lead for Marketing Mix Modeling and investment optimization, driving the development and adoption of analytical frameworks that enable evidence-based allocation of marketing investments across brands, and channels.

In addition, this position will be responsible for leading both internal analytics talent and external agency and consulting partners, ensuring the delivery of high-quality insights while fostering a culture of innovation, accountability, and continuous improvement.

  • Lead Haleon US's Marketing Mix Modeling (MMM) program, including model development, governance, delivery, and activation of recommendations.
  • Translate complex analytical findings into actionable business recommendations that drive marketing investment decisions and commercial growth.
  • Act as a trusted advisor and subject matter expert to Marketing, Commercial, Finance, and Leadership teams on marketing effectiveness and investment optimization.
  • Lead portfolio optimization and resource allocation analyses to support annual operating plans, long-range strategic planning, and investment decisions.
  • Develop fact-based recommendations across brands, channels, and customer segments to maximize growth and return on investment.
  • Support business scenario planning and investment simulations to evaluate opportunities, trade-offs, and risks.
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders and external analytics partners to ensure delivery of high-quality, actionable insights.
  • Manage external analytics, consulting, and measurement partners to ensure analytical rigor, efficient resource utilization, and alignment with business priorities.
  • Lead, coach, and develop direct reports, creating a high-performance culture focused on innovation, accountability, and talent development.
  • Establish performance expectations, provide ongoing coaching, and support career development for team members.
  • Build organizational capabilities by driving adoption of marketing effectiveness tools, frameworks, and best practices.
  • Identify and evaluate emerging analytical methodologies, technologies, and approaches that strengthen decision-making capabilities.
  • Influence senior leadership through compelling data storytelling and evidence-based recommendations.
  • Collaborate with regional and global analytics teams to share methodologies, best practices, and learnings.
  • Manage budgets associated with marketing effectiveness initiatives, analytics partnerships, and strategic projects.
  • Serve as the organizational expert on marketing effectiveness, econometric modeling, portfolio optimization, and resource allocation strategies.
  • Understand MMM methodology and ensure models are accurate and useable through rigid validation.

This role is based in Warren, NJ, and follows a hybrid model, requiring an in-office presence of 3 days per week.

  • Demonstrated experience leading Marketing Mix Modeling (MMM) programs and translating results into business recommendations.
  • Experience in portfolio optimization, resource allocation, scenario planning, or strategic investment decision support.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with experience working with complex and large-scale datasets.
  • Experience influencing senior stakeholders through data-driven recommendations and strategic insights.
  • Experience leading and developing high-performing teams.
  • Experience working cross-functionally with Marketing, Finance, Commercial, and Executive Leadership teams.
  • Experience managing external agencies, consultants, or analytics partners.
Preferred Qualifications

If you have the following characteristics, it would be a plus:

  • Advanced degree in Business, Economics, Statistics, Data Science, Marketing Analytics, or related discipline.
  • Experience within Consumer Health, CPG, Pharmaceutical, Retail, or Consulting organizations.
  • Experience with econometric modeling, forecasting, simulation, and optimization techniques.
  • Strong understanding of media measurement, attribution, incrementality testing, and marketing effectiveness methodologies.
  • Experience supporting commercial and financial planning processes.
  • Proven ability to simplify complex analytical concepts for senior and executive audiences.
  • Experience building and scaling analytics capabilities, processes, and teams.
  • Strong people leadership skills with a track record of coaching and developing talent.
  • Experience managing large agency, consulting, or analytical engagements and associated budgets.
  • Proficiency with analytical and visualization tools such as Power BI, Tableau, R, Python, or similar platforms.
  • Ability to balance strategic thinking with execution excellence.

The salary range for this role is: $148,648 - 204,391 USD annually plus an annual bonus.
