Zachary Piper Solutions is seeking an experienced Portfolio MBSE Engineering Lead to drive model-based systems engineering across a multi-program defense portfolio. The role emphasizes model architecture, MBSE tool integration, and automation to serve as the single source of truth.

The ideal candidate has deep Cameo experience, can build reference models, perform requirements tracing and trade studies, and mentor teams in MBSE practices within a highly classified environment.

Qualifications

• MBSE in defense or aerospace environments.
• Hands-on with Cameo Systems Modeler (2022).
• Designing reference architectures across multi-program portfolios.
• Integrating MBSE workflows with requirements tools and processes.
• Requirements capture, traceability, and system trade studies.
• Automated deliverables from model-based environments.
• Strong leadership and cross-functional collaboration.

Responsibilities

• Lead development and implementation of model architecture across a portfolio of programs.
• Design and maintain MBSE reference architectures for multiple production systems.
• Develop and manage complex system models using Cameo (2022).
• Establish model-to-document pipelines to automate deliverables from models.
• Capture, manage, and trace system requirements within MBSE.
• Conduct trade studies to support engineering and program decisions.
• Integrate MBSE tools with requirements management platforms and workflows.
• Ensure model accuracy and single source of truth across the organization.
• Train and mentor engineers on MBSE practices and data entry standards.
• Collaborate with systems, software, and program leadership to align outputs with objectives.
