Job description

OPICI Family Distributing, a family-owned business in wine and spirits for over 100 years, is currently seeking a San Antonio Portfolio Manager. Position Summary:

The Opici Group is looking for a dynamic Portfolio Manager to work with a family-owned company and represent fine wines and spirits from all over the world.

Open Position:

The Portfolio Manager will be responsible for the sales and financial management of multiple supplier portfolios in New York, including planning, pricing, programming, inventory management, and joint meetings. Candidates should have a Bachelor's Degree and/or 5+ years of related industry experience, along with strong computer and communication skills.

Duties and Responsibilities:
  1. Develop business plans across the portfolio of brands, aligning with overall company goals, sales targets, and budgets. Track and update sales programs and goals regularly.
  2. Build and develop financial plans for the portfolio, including sales and profitability goals.
  3. Manage pricing strategies to ensure effective price positioning and sales resources.
  4. Educate and motivate the sales organization about the portfolio.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's Degree (BA) from a four-year college or university, or 5+ years of related industry experience, preferably in Fine Wine or Spirits.
  • Detailed understanding of off-premise and on-premise accounts, with a focus on KPIs, trends, and consumer insights.
  • Excellent communication, relationship-building, and management skills.
  • Passion and knowledge of fine wines and wine regions, as well as mixology and gastronomy (CSW, WSET III+, or similar credentials are a plus).
  • Strong computer skills (Excel, Outlook, Word, PowerPoint); familiarity with Diver and IDIG is a plus.
Compensation & Benefits:

The salary will be determined based on experience. The position is eligible for a health and welfare package, 401(k) with company match, holidays, and paid time off.
