Job summary

Wintrust is seeking a Portfolio Manager II for the Construction, Engineering & Architecture Commercial Banking team in Willowbrook, IL. You will underwrite and manage a portfolio of commercial loans, coordinating with relationship managers to structure transactions and provide critical credit analysis.

The role requires a bachelor’s degree and at least four years in financial services with solid knowledge of banking products, credit risk, and loan documentation.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in business, finance, economics or accounting.
• Minimum 4 years’ experience in financial services, with banking knowledge.
• Strong credit/risk awareness and ability to structure commercial loans.

Responsibilities

• Manage a portfolio of commercial customers in partnership with the relationship manager.
• Structure and underwrite complex commercial loan transactions.
• Prepare credit packages for annual reviews and new loan requests.
• Provide support for portfolio reporting and delinquency monitoring.
• Coordinate collection and review of financial statements and covenants.
• Monitor for early warning signs and mitigate risks with borrowers.
• Review loan documentation with legal counsel and ensure proper closings.
• Respond to audits, loan reviews, and regulatory exams.
