Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in finance or equivalent experience.
  • Four years of comparable financial analysis experience.
  • Proficient with MS Teams and MS Office suite.
  • Excellent communication and relationship-building skills.
  • Strong organization and time-management abilities.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare loan approval packages with RMs for new originations and renewals.
  • Analyze client financials for loan requests, covenants, and reviews.
  • Perform cash flow and collateral analyses for deal screening.
  • Support due diligence searches and appraisal/environmental reviews.

Overview

At Univest, we’re looking for a detail-oriented and relationship-driven Portfolio Manager to support our Commercial Lending team in Souderton and West Chester. In this role, you’ll work between both locations while partnering closely with Relationship Managers and internal teams to manage portfolios, support commercial lending processes, analyze financial information, build strong client relationships, and ensure compliance with commercial lending policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements.

Responsibilities
Commercial Loan and Portfolio Support
  • Prepare the approval package using a Loan Origination System in collaboration with the Relationship Manager to outline the structure, terms, and conditions of the loan facility for new loan origination and renewals/modifications of existing loans.
  • Prepare memos for the credit file and underwriting approvals, when necessary.
  • Analyze customer financial information in preparation for upcoming loan requests, covenant tests, or annual reviews.
  • Ability to prepare financial performance analysis including but not limited to cash flow analysis and collateral analysis for deal screen preparation and underwriting purposes.
  • Accountable for facilitating and/or completing covenant compliance testing.
  • Review the customer’s risk profile through interpreting financial information, testing loan covenants, and evaluating other non‑financial factors.
  • Provide support to the loan origination process through independently assessing the due diligence required for every specific request.
  • Facilitate ordering and reviewing all necessary due diligence searches, including but not limited to real estate searches, lien searches, credit reports, background checks, and OFAC reports.
  • Provide support to the commercial loan process by ordering and reviewing appraisal and environmental reports.
  • Provide support to the loan closing process, such as determining pre‑close items required for loan settlement. This may include, but not be limited to obtaining insurance documentation, communicating directly with title companies, and being responsible for review and final approval of loan coding.
  • Partner with Bank Counsel in preparation for loan closings.
  • Accountable for reviewing loan documentation for accuracy.
  • Provide post‑closing support through follow‑up with customers, Bank Counsel, and title companies, when necessary.
  • Monitor and track monthly reporting including but not limited to maturing loans, annual reviews, and exception reporting.
  • Partner with Relationship Managers, Administrators, and Customers in clearing exceptions.
  • Provide support to Commercial Lending Team in satisfying requirements for construction advances.
  • Lead the Audit Preparation for internal and external audits, including but not limited to reviewing files for completeness, file organization, evaluation loan coding accuracy, and preparing responses in collaboration with Relationship Manager.
  • Accountable for compliance with laws and regulations that apply to this position including the Univest Code of Conduct.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
Customer Service & Support
  • Establish operational relationship with designated clients to handle routine daily operational issues and client requests.
  • Support Relationship Managers in prep aration and attendance at client meetings and loan closings.
  • Communicate with Relationship Managers and Customers to gather required financial information needed from customers.

  • Risk Management:Ability tomonitorperformance of existingportfoliothrough interpreting financial information, testing covenants, and evaluating other non-financial factorsto assess the credit risk profile.Ensurecustomer compliance, portfolio performance, and asset quality remainstrong.Collaborate withRelationshipManager andother partners in the organization to propose strategies and actions to limit risk and loss to the Bank.
  • Self-Management:Maintaincomposurein high-pressuresituations.Ability to handle most problems/exceptions in an independent manner.Exude a professional attitudeand willingness to be collaborative.
  • Bachelor’s degree in financeand/or equivalent experience in relatedarea.
  • Trained Financial Analyst witha minimum offouryears ofcomparable industry experience.
  • Software Proficiency:Microsoft Teams or equivalent,Video Conferencing, Microsoft Office, specifically Word, Excel, Outlook, OneNote,PowerPointand SharePoint
Experience/Skills Preferred:
  • Prior Salesforce andnCinoexperience
  • Knowledge of commercial lendingprocesses and procedures
Wage Range:

The salary for this position ranges from $70,000+
