Avila Real Estate Capital is seeking an Associate to own fund level performance reporting and credit facility administration for its real estate debt funds, handling daily operations and lender coordination.
The role requires 2–4 years in real estate credit or related fields, strong Excel and AI tool usage, and meticulous execution on external deadlines. This is a full-time position based in California with competitive compensation.
Avila Real Estate Capital is a growing real estate credit firm focused on homebuilder finance and residential real estate, providing capital solutions to homebuilders and land developers across the country. Our team works at the intersection of real estate, finance, and credit, evaluating opportunities, managing risk, and helping move projects forward.
Joining Avila means becoming part of a team where your work is connected directly to the business. You will have exposure to the decisions, analysis, and relationships that drive real estate lending, while working alongside experienced professionals and building your own capabilities over time.
We are looking for self-starters who are curious, analytical, and accountable, ready to grow with a company that's expanding its platform and impact. This is a fast-paced environment, so the right person will take initiative, spot what needs attention, and run with it.
We are looking for an Associate who wants to own fund performance reporting and credit facility administration at a real estate debt manager. The right person is exact with numbers, comfortable with return math, and treats an external deadline as fixed. You use AI tools in your daily work and check their output against an approved source before it goes out.
As an Associate on the Portfolio Management team, you will own fund level performance reporting across Avila’s debt funds and the daily administration of the credit facilities that fund our loan book. Your work will include:
You will report to Sahil Jethi, Vice President, Portfolio Management, and work closely with Loan Servicing, Accounting, the investment team, and the fund administrator. You will also be in regular contact with our lenders.
This role shows you how the funds are financed and how loan performance turns into the returns investors see, from a subline draw through the quarterly track record. For someone with two to four years of experience, it is a chance to take ownership of work that investors and lenders rely on.
Success in this role means becoming someone the team can rely on for accurate analysis, thoughtful work, and consistent follow-through.
You will continue building your understanding of real estate credit while developing the judgment and technical skills needed to take on greater responsibility over time. You will ask questions, learn from the people around you, and become increasingly confident in evaluating opportunities and understanding what drives loan performance. Most importantly, you will contribute to the quality of the decisions Avila makes.
The salary for this position ranges from $90k to $120k, plus a discretionary bonus
Avila Real Estate Capital offers a full benefits package including:
This is a full-time position with one day a week in the office with regular availability expected during standard business hours for collaboration, calls, and coordination with the team. Some flexibility may be needed during closing periods or reporting deadlines.
A career in real estate lending is built through exposure, experience, and the opportunity to learn from the decisions being made around you.
At Avila, you will not simply be producing reports from the sidelines. You will be part of the work, supporting real transactions, understanding how opportunities are evaluated, seeing how loans perform over time, and learning how thoughtful credit decisions are made.
