Job summary

Corient is seeking a Portfolio Management professional to deepen understanding of investment strategies and to become an expert in the centralized Portfolio Management System. The role involves rebalancing portfolios, addressing cash needs, and harvesting tax losses in taxable accounts.

You will collaborate with third-party managers and local advisors to align client objectives with Corient strategies, while preparing and entering trade orders into the system for execution.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university preferred in Finance
• 2+ years of relevant work experience
• Exceptional analytical skills
• Knowledge of portfolio management/rebalancer software is a plus
• Knowledge of portfolio construction and tax-efficient strategies
• Ability to be organized, detail oriented, and self-motivated in a fast-paced environment
• Strong written, verbal, and interpersonal skills

Responsibilities

• Develop an understanding of Corient’s investment strategies through frequent interactions with the central investment team
• Become an expert in Corient’s centralized Portfolio Management System
• Rebalance portfolios, manage for cash/liquidity needs, and harvest losses in taxable accounts
• Work with 3rd party managers via separately managed accounts
• Work with local advisors to map clients’ objectives and risk tolerance into Corient strategies
• Suggest trades to advisors and enter orders into the Portfolio Management System
• Contribute to optimal portfolio allocation across equities, fixed income, and alternatives
• Assist in transition of legacy processes to centralized portfolio management/trading solution
• Review portfolios and build orders when strategy trades are suggested by the Investment Team
