Job summary

Magnetar, based in Evanston, IL, is seeking a Portfolio Finance & Reporting professional to ensure proper funding of investment vehicles, monitor liquidity, and support internal and external reporting. You will interact with fund accounting, portfolio managers, operations, and legal to maintain robust oversight.

Qualifications

• Undergraduate or graduate degree in Finance or Accounting with strong academic performance.
• 1-5 years of experience in the financial services or banking industries with relevant experience in margin, funding, or treasury preferred.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office applications with emphasis on Excel.
• Demonstrates optimistic attitude, flexibility, and willingness to take on challenges and responsibilities.

Responsibilities

• Build and maintain forward-looking models that project fund-level cash flows and liquidity needs.
• Track pipeline of potential financing opportunities in the portfolio.
• Manage FX hedging processes across the portfolio.
• Participate in calls with external financing providers and assist with counterparty credit calls.
• Monitor margin calls, collateral postings and liquidity across counterparties.
• Maintain internal margin calculations and set up new accounts and terms.
• Monitor stock loan reporting tools and assist trading desks with stock loan needs.
• Prepare recurring internal reporting and support external reporting requirements.
• Perform ad hoc analysis and special projects for information requests and system enhancements.
