Job summary

Calamos Wealth Management in the Chicago area seeks a Portfolio Construction Specialist to support investment analysis, proposal generation, and portfolio trading. You will build Excel-based and automated workflows, develop dashboards (Power BI) and help implement AI-enabled tools while collaborating with senior team members and across CWM departments.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in finance, economics, business, computer science, data science is required.
2 to 5 years of work experience in wealth management or analytical/tech role.
FINRA SIE exam preferred; CFA progress a plus; Series 7/63/65 welcome.
Foundational understanding of trading processes related to liquidity and settlements.
Familiarity with options concepts or eagerness to learn them.
Strong communication skills and attention to detail.

Responsibilities

Supports Investment Team with investment analysis and proposal generation for prospects.
Assists with portfolio trading, rebalancing, and client reporting under senior guidance.
Builds Excel-based and automated workflows for recurring tasks (rebalancing, drift, tax-lot reporting).
Prepares client meeting materials and builds dashboards (Power BI) for advisors.
Supports implementation of portfolio management tools and data quality checks.
