National Equity Fund, Inc. seeks a Director, Asset Management to lead the regional asset management staff and oversee the performance of NEF's LIHTC portfolio.

The role combines hands‑on portfolio oversight with team leadership to identify risks, resolve problems quickly and maintain high standards across investments. The position requires a Bachelor's in business administration (MBA preferred), 7+ years in real estate management/underwriting, and strong analytical skills.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in business administration or related field; MBA preferred.
• Seven years of progressively responsible experience in real estate portfolio management, development, underwriting, or finance.
• Experience with affordable housing development and LIHTC programs.
• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written; ability to resolve conflicts.
• Strong analytical and forecasting skills; knowledge of accounting; statistics a plus.
• Proficiency in Excel and database concepts; ability to extract information.
• At least five years of proven supervisory experience.

Responsabilités

• Lead NEF's Asset Management staff within a region and oversee portfolio performance.
• Provide leadership and guidance to direct reports to ensure high quality performance.
• Set performance goals and provide timely feedback to staff.
• Prepare and present portfolio condition reports and analyses.
• Assist underwriting of proposed investments and evaluate GP/CDC partners.
• Identify problems early and implement action plans for resolution.
• Maintain relationships with Acquisitions, Project Management, and NEF departments.
• Collaborate with LISC staff and third parties to address project issues.
