Job summary

UBS seeks a Portfolio Analytics & Automation Specialist -CIG to support leveraged loan and high‑yield investment teams in New York. You will partner with portfolio managers to monitor, analyze, and optimize holdings using data and AI‑driven tools.

Expect building dashboards, automating reports, and delivering scalable analytics across credit portfolios. You will collaborate with the Credit Investments Group, drawing on solid quantitative skills and Python/Excel proficiency to drive performance

Qualifications

• 3 years of experience in asset management or related front office analytical role.
• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Finance, Economics, Math, Engineering, CS, or related field.
• Strong analytical and quantitative skills with large datasets.
• Interest in asset management, credit markets, leveraged finance, and portfolio management.
• Understanding of leveraged loans and CLO portfolio construction is a plus.
• Advanced Excel and Python; familiarity with numpy, pandas, matplotlib, scikit-learn, streamlit, powerbi, or qlik advantageous.
• Strong communication, ability to manage priorities, and collaboration with senior investment professionals.
• Curious about applying AI to improve workflows with sound judgment and risk awareness.

Responsibilities

• Support portfolio managers with day‑to‑day monitoring and analysis across leveraged loans, high‑yield, and CLO portfolios.
• Own and enhance analytics on exposures, risk positioning, and performance attribution.
• Design, build, and maintain data tools, dashboards, and reports for portfolio management.
• Automate recurring portfolio and risk reporting workflows to scale processes.

We are looking Portfolio Analytics & Automation Specialist -CIG to support our Leveraged Loan and High-Yield investment team by:

• supporting portfolio managers with day-to-day portfolio monitoring and analysis across leveraged loans, high-yield bonds, and CLO portfolios
• owning and enhancing analytics on portfolio exposures, risk positioning, and performance attribution
• designing, building, and maintaining data tools, dashboards, and reports used by the portfolio management team
• automating recurring portfolio and risk reporting workflows to help the team scale beyond manual processes
• contributing to ad hoc analytical projects as markets, strategies, and portfolio needs evolve

The teamThe Credit Investments Group ("CIG") a business unit within the Investments division of Asset Management, is an industry leader in managing over [$57] billion in non-investment grade credit assets across bank loan, high yield bond and structured product portfolios. CIG is one of the largest leveraged credit managers in the US and Western Europe, with an accomplished full-service group of dedicated career credit professionals located in New York, London and Zurich. The investment process is predicated on bottom-up credit selection, which has generated favorable risk-adjusted returns with lower relative volatility than the benchmark for the last 25 years.

Your Skills And Experience

• ideally 3 years of experience in asset management, leveraged finance, structured credit, investment banking, or a related front office analytical role
• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Finance, Economics, Math, Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field
• strong analytical and quantitative skills, with experience reviewing, cleaning, and quickly understanding large datasets
• strong interest in asset management, credit markets, leveraged finance, and portfolio management
• solid understanding of leveraged loans and CLO portfolio construction would be a plus
• advanced excel skills and proficiency in python strongly preferred; knowledge of tools such as numpy, pandas, matplotlib, scikit-learn, streamlit, powerbi, or qlik would be an advantage
• strong communication skills, ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced investment-driven environment, and comfort working directly with senior investment professionals
• you’re curious to explore how AI can improve how we build, deliver, and optimize workflows. You do this with sound judgment – validating outputs and aligning with policies, risk standards, and ethical use.
