Job summary

UBS seeks a Portfolio Analytics & Automation Specialist -CIG to support leveraged loan and high‑yield investment teams in New York. You will partner with portfolio managers to monitor, analyze, and optimize holdings using data and AI‑driven tools.

Qualifications

• 3 years of experience in asset management or related front office analytical role.
• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Finance, Economics, Math, Engineering, CS, or related field.
• Strong analytical and quantitative skills with large datasets.
• Interest in asset management, credit markets, leveraged finance, and portfolio management.
• Understanding of leveraged loans and CLO portfolio construction is a plus.
• Advanced Excel and Python; familiarity with numpy, pandas, matplotlib, scikit-learn, streamlit, powerbi, or qlik advantageous.
• Strong communication, ability to manage priorities, and collaboration with senior investment professionals.
• Curious about applying AI to improve workflows with sound judgment and risk awareness.

Responsibilities

• Support portfolio managers with day‑to‑day monitoring and analysis across leveraged loans, high‑yield, and CLO portfolios.
• Own and enhance analytics on exposures, risk positioning, and performance attribution.
• Design, build, and maintain data tools, dashboards, and reports for portfolio management.
• Automate recurring portfolio and risk reporting workflows to scale processes.
• Contribute to ad hoc analytical projects as markets and strategies evolve.
