Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree and Approximately 2–3 years of relevant experience in data analytics, preferably in investments or financial services.
• Strong Excel skills and experience using a business intelligence tool such as Tableau or Power BI.
• Demonstrated ability to organize, validate, reconcile, and interpret data from multiple sources.
• Familiarity with investment performance concepts and major asset classes; willingness to develop deeper expertise on the job.
• Ability to learn complex technical systems, investigate unfamiliar problems, and make progress with limited day-to-day instruction.
• Clear written and verbal communication, strong attention to detail, and discretion with confidential information.

Responsibilities

• Maintain classifications, data structures, and workflows used to report on holdings, transactions, cash flows, and exposures across portfolios, entities, and asset classes.
• Produce and improve recurring performance, allocation, and risk reports using Addepar and other reporting tools.
• Validate source data and reporting outputs; investigate discrepancies and work with finance/accounting colleagues to resolve them.
• Document data definitions, calculations, and reporting processes for consistency and repeatability.
• Work with portfolio performance measures, including IRR, and understand cash-flow timing and asset-class effects on results.
• Use Excel and BI tools to analyze data, improve reporting, and reduce manual work.
• Present categorical comparisons, time-series trends, and portfolio-level results via tables, charts, dashboards, and presentations.
• Respond to ad hoc analytical questions with clear findings and supporting data.
