Job summary

F.L.Putnam Investment Management Company seeks a Portfolio Analyst to manage trading processes and collaborate across teams. You will execute trades, monitor portfolio drift, and help rebalance portfolios to meet client objectives and asset allocation strategies.

The role requires a bachelor’s degree in a related field, and 1–2 years of trading experience with strong MS Office skills. CFA designation is preferred. This is an on-site position in MA with the Portfolio Analysis Team.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in business, finance, economics or related field or equivalent experience.
• Preferred CFA designation or progress toward CFA designation.
• 1–2 years of trading experience is preferred.
• Proficiency with MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, Teams).
• Maintain a positive, solutions-focused attitude.
• Be curious, respectful and kind; protect client information.
• Deliver consistent excellent internal and external client service.

Responsibilities

• Executes and allocates trades across custodians with Portfolio Managers and Advisors.
• Completes post-trade issue resolution.
• Monitors portfolio drift and periodically rebalances to align with objectives.
• Processes ongoing tax loss harvesting.
• Assists Advisors with transitioning accounts to internal models.
• Contributes to business development by creating synthetic portfolios.
• Follows guidelines from the Implementation Committee.
• Coordinates internal actions across teams.
