Job summary

FL Putnam Investment Management is seeking a Portfolio Analyst in Massachusetts (Lynnfield/Needham/Boston area) to manage trading processes and support the Portfolio Analysis Team. The role collaborates with Portfolio Managers, Investment Advisors, and the Asset Allocation Committee to optimize workflows and ensure compliance with internal guidelines.

The ideal candidate has a bachelor’s degree in business, finance, economics, or a related field and 1–2 years of trading experience.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in business, finance, management, economics or related field.
CFA designation preferred or possession.
Preferred 1–2 years of trading experience.
Proficiency with MS Office Suite and other business software.
Maintain a positive, solutions-focused attitude.
Be intellectually curious, respectful, and kind in the workplace.
Ability to use good judgment and keep client information confidential.
Deliver excellent customer service to internal and external customers.

Responsibilities

Executes and allocates trades across custodians with Portfolio Managers, Investment Advisors, and the Asset Allocation Committee.
Completes post-trade issue resolution.
Continually monitors portfolio drift; periodically rebalances to align with objectives and strategies.
Processes ongoing tax loss harvesting.
Assists Investment Advisors with transitioning accounts to internal models.
Contributes to business development by creating synthetic portfolios based on prospect statements.
Adheres to guidelines established by the Implementation Committee.
Coordinates internal action across multiple teams.
Contributes to the rest of Portfolio Analysis Team to optimize workflows.
