Job summary

Axos Bank is seeking a Portfolio Analyst II in California to support Credit & Portfolio Management for commercial real estate lending. You will analyze financial statements, track covenants, and maintain credit files while preparing memoranda for loan upsizes and amendments.

The role emphasizes building strong credit risk awareness, handling multiple workflows, and contributing to process improvements within the Real Estate Lender Finance Group.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting or related field.
• 2+ years of underwriting, structuring, or portfolio management of commercial real estate transactions.
• Strong organizational skills and ability to work in client relations and process improvement.
• Strong business writing ability.
• Manual dexterity and coordination are required with standard office equipment.

Responsibilities

• Provide support in managing the loan portfolio within the Real Estate Lender Finance Group.
• Financial statement analysis, covenant tracking, gathering essential portfolio data, and maintaining credit files.
• Monitoring individual credits by way of financial statement analysis, covenant tracking, gathering essential portfolio data, and maintaining credit files.
• Author credit memoranda for presentation to management to process loan upsizes, credit amendments, and update loan risk ratings.
• Lead in implementing process improvements, authoring procedures, and writing job aids documenting day-to-day responsibilities of Portfolio Analysts.
• Understand credit culture and risk tolerance as outlined by senior management and the Board and help mitigate threats to loan portfolio safety and soundness.
• Ability to manage multiple workflows and adapt to changing demands to meet business objectives.
• Extended sitting periods may be required.

$24.30/Hr. - $30.00/Hr.

Actual starting pay will vary based on factors including, but not limited to, geographic location, experience, skills, specialty, and education.

Eligible for an Annual Discretionary Cash Bonus Target: 5%

Eligible for an Annual Discretionary Restricted Stock Units Bonus Target: 5%

These discretionary target bonuses may be awarded semi-annually based upon your achievement of performance goals and targets.

About This Job

The Portfolio Analyst II will support Credit & Portfolio Management by working with commercial borrowers and the portfolio management team to monitor loans.
