Job summary

Jobtailor is seeking a Wealth Management Portfolio Manager to lead and grow a high-net-worth client group in the United States. You will manage portfolios in line with policies, define client service standards, and collaborate with wealth teams to shape investment statements and objectives.

The role requires strong project management, communication, and analytical skills, plus knowledge of trusts, endowments, IRAs, and tax considerations. CFA preferred; Series 65 within 60 days.

Qualifications

  • BA or BS degree required.
  • 3 years of job-related experience.
  • Excellent project management skills.

  • Excellent customer service skills.
  • Ability to use a personal computer and job-related software.
  • MS Word — Basic Level; MS Excel — Intermediate Level; MS PowerPoint — Basic Level.
  • Progress towards an MBA or CFA.
  • Working knowledge of foundations and endowments, IRAs, pensions, and taxes.
  • CFA preferred.
  • Obtain a Series 65 License within 60 days of hire.
  • Frequent driving capability.
  • Legally authorized to work in the U.S.; employment-based visa sponsorship is not provided.

Responsibilities

  • Manage and expand an assigned group of high-net-worth investment portfolios for individuals and institutional clients.
  • Manage portfolios according to the corporation’s investment policies and procedures.
  • Define client service expectations and strive to exceed them.
  • Coordinate with wealth management team members to develop investment policy statements defining client risk tolerances and investment objectives.
  • Initiate portfolio changes based on changes in client objectives, corporate asset allocation, or tactical recommendations.
  • Expand the book of business by identifying opportunities within assigned accounts.
  • Work with Client Advisors, Wealth Advisors, and internal and external centers of influence to attract new wealth clients.
  • Identify appropriate cross-sell opportunities to address clients’ financial needs.
  • Apply knowledge of portfolio management, trusts, pensions, IRAs, foundations, endowments, equity and fixed income markets, economics, asset allocation, and trading.
  • Complete corporate training, compliance, and regulatory requirements in a timely manner.
  • Serve as a risk manager by understanding, reporting, responding to, managing, and monitoring daily business risks.
  • Perform other related duties and projects as assigned.
