Job summary

Connect Search, LLC is seeking a Portfolio Accountant to join its accounting team. This role offers exposure to a portfolio of commercial real estate investments and a path to build a career in real estate, private equity, or investment management.

Reporting to the Accounting Manager, you will assist with month-end close, journal entries, reconciliations, and investor reporting, while collaborating with property management and finance professionals in a growth-oriented environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance required.
• 1–2 years of accounting experience (public internship or CRE experience a plus).
• Strong GAAP knowledge and accounting principles.
• Advanced Excel skills (PivotTables, VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP) required.
• Experience with ERP or property accounting systems a plus (Yardi, MRI, JD Edwards, Sage Intacct, or similar).
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Highly organized with attention to detail.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Assist with monthly, quarterly, and annual close for a portfolio of real estate investments.
• Prepare and post journal entries, reconciliations, and schedules.

• Reconcile bank accounts, cash activity, and balance sheet accounts.
• Prepare financial statements and management reporting packages.

Reporting to the Accounting Manager, you will support the accounting and financial reporting for a portfolio of commercial real estate investments. Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance.
• 1–2 years of accounting experience (public accounting internship or commercial real estate experience is a plus).
• Strong understanding of GAAP and general accounting principles.
• Excellent Excel skills, including PivotTables, VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP, and basic financial analysis.
