ACR Diesel & Auto Repair LLC in Kingman, AZ is seeking a reliable Porter/Shop Helper to support our technicians and front office. You will move vehicles, keep the shop clean, assist with basic tasks in the bays, and learn in a hands-on environment alongside experienced technicians.

This entry‑level role trains you in shop operations, safety, and basic maintenance tasks such as oil changes and tire work. You should be punctual, able to lift up to 50 lbs, and comfortable working in a noisy shop

Qualifications

• Valid driver's license and a clean driving record.
• Able to lift up to 50 lbs and stand/walk/bend for long periods.
• Comfortable working in a shop with noise, heat and cold.
• Willing to take direction and learn from technicians.
• Bonus: basic mechanical knowledge or interest in becoming a technician.

Responsibilities

• Move customer vehicles safely between the lot, bays and pickup area.
• Shuttle customers to and from home or work and assist with vehicle drop-off/pick-up.
• Pick up parts from local suppliers and receive deliveries.
• Keep shop floors, bays, restrooms and waiting area clean.
• Wash and vacuum vehicles before they're returned to customers.
• Install seat covers, floor mats and steering wheel covers prior to service.
• Organize tools, parts and supplies and assist with inventory.
• Assist technicians with basic tasks like tire rotations and oil changes (training provided).
• Support general maintenance of shop and equipment.

As our Porter/Shop Helper, you'll support our technicians and front office by moving vehicles, keeping the shop clean and organized, and helping with basic tasks around the bays. It's a good entry point into the automotive industry, and you can learn from experienced technicians as you go.

What You'll Do

• Move customer vehicles safely between the lot, service bays and pickup area
• Shuttle customers to and from home or work, and pick up and drop off vehicles as needed
• Pick up parts from local suppliers and receive parts deliveries
• Keep shop floors, bays, restrooms and the waiting area clean
• Wash and vacuum vehicles before they're returned to customers
• Put seat covers, floor mats and steering wheel covers in vehicles before service
• Organize tools, parts and supplies, and help with inventory
• Dispose of used oil, fluids, tires and parts properlyHelp technicians with basic tasks such as tire rotations, oil changes and lifting parts (training provided)
• Help with general maintenance of the shop and equipment

What We're Looking For

• Valid driver's license and a clean driving record (required)
• Able to drive both automatic and manual transmission vehicles (preferred)
• Able to lift up to 50 lbs and stand, walk and bend for long periods
• Comfortable working in a shop setting with noise, heat and cold
• Reliable, punctual and willing to take direction
• Detail-oriented, with care for customers' vehicles
