The Porter is responsible for ensuring the organization and tidiness of the Shop.

• Cleans the Shop. Runs floor scrubber.
• Performs general maintenance and upkeep to the Shop, grounds and building.
• Moves vehicles as needed to different locations on the dealership lot.
• Paints and cleans.
• Delivers and pickups various things from external locations.
• Operates a forklift.
• Safely lifts heavy items.
• Understands, keeps abreast and complies with federal, state and local regulations, such as hazardous waste disposal, OSHA, etc.
• All other duties as assigned.

Skills and Qualifications

• Valid driver's license and safe driving record
• Effective communication skills, basic math and reading skills, and ability to follow directions
• Ability to stay on track with little to no supervision
• Basic computer skills
• High school diploma or GED

Physical Demands

• Regularly required to use hands to finger, handle, or feel and reach with hands and arms
• Entry and exit from various types of vehicles multiple times a day
• Regularly lift and move up to 50 lbs.; occasionally required to lift and move weight greater than 50 lbs.
• Frequently required to walk, climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl, talk and hear.
• May be required to sit for extended periods of time (hours)
• Regularly exposed to outdoor environments; hot and humid conditions
• Noise level is usually loud

Compensation: $15 - $18/hour
