Gillman Automotive Group has an immediate opening for a car porter/lot tech in Harlingen, Texas. The role involves assisting with the daily operations of the dealership, including moving and washing cars, maintaining the lot's appearance, and ensuring quality control for vehicle service.

Qualifications

• Up to six months related experience/training or equivalent combination of education and experience preferred, but not required.
• Must be eligible to work in the US and pass pre‑employment screening, including MVR, drug screen, and criminal background check.
• Must have an Operator's Driver's License (must be insurable).

Responsibilities

• Wash, wax, and buff vehicles; dress wheels and tires.
• Vacuum interiors and trunks.
• Clean all glass components thoroughly.
• Inspect and clean engine compartment.
• Operate car wash where available.
• Follow the quality control checklist.
• Attend weekly department meetings.
• Perform other duties as assigned by management.

Job description

We currently have an immediate opening for a car porter/lot tech. We are looking for a motivated, hard‑working person to help with the day‑to‑day operations at our dealership. Primarily, you will be assisting in the process of the inner workings of a dealership: moving cars, washing cars, straightening the lot, and keeping the lot maintained properly and looking great.

Job Responsibilities

• Wash, wax, and buff vehicles; dress wheels and tires
• Vacuum interiors and trunks
• Clean all glass components thoroughly
• Inspect and clean engine compartment
• Operate car wash where available
• Follow the quality control checklist, including a list of everything done prior to client pick‑up
• Attend weekly department meetings
• Perform other duties as assigned by management
