Decron Properties in Pflugerville, TX is hiring a Porter for our 2023 build, 334 units. The Porter maintains cleanliness of common areas, amenities, and grounds, supporting safety and resident satisfaction.

You will perform cleaning, prep vacant units, restock supplies, and assist with light maintenance. The role requires reliability, ability to work outdoors, and flexibility including weekends, in a fast-paced, award-winning workplace.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to cleanliness.
• Ability to follow instructions and complete assigned tasks independently.
• Basic understanding of cleaning supplies, tools, and safety practices.
• Physical ability to lift, move, and carry up to 50 pounds.
• Willingness to work outdoors and in a variety of weather conditions.
• Ability to work flexible hours including weekends.
• Ability to communicate effectively with team members.
• Ability to read and understand safety data sheets (SDS).

Responsibilities

• Clean and maintain all common areas including hallways, lobbies, restrooms, and amenity spaces.
• Sweep, mop, and power wash walkways, entryways, and outdoor paths.
• Remove trash and debris from grounds, parking lots, and exterior areas.
• Assist with cleaning and preparation of vacant units for move-in.
• Restock cleaning supplies and restroom products as needed.
• Report maintenance issues or safety hazards to the maintenance team.
• Ensure cleaning equipment is stored and used safely.
• Assist with light maintenance tasks such as replacing bulbs or filters.

Position Summary - Porter, 2023 build, 334 units

The Porter is responsible for maintaining the cleanliness and appearance of the apartment community, including common areas, amenities, and grounds. This role plays a vital part in upholding Decron Properties’ standards of cleanliness, safety, and resident satisfaction.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Clean and maintain all common areas including hallways, stairwells, lobbies, restrooms, and amenity spaces
• Sweep, mop, and power wash walkways, breezeways, and entryways as needed
• Remove trash and debris from grounds, parking lots, dumpster enclosures, and other exterior areas
• Assist with the cleaning and preparation of vacant units for move-in
• Restock cleaning and restroom supplies as needed
• Report any maintenance issues or safety hazards to the maintenance team or supervisor
• Ensure all cleaning supplies and equipment are stored and used safely and properly
• Assist with light maintenance duties such as replacing light bulbs or filters as directed

Non-Essential Duties

• Support setup and cleanup for community events
• Assist with landscaping or snow removal duties as needed
• Help with special projects or emergency response efforts
• Other duties as assigned

Work Environment and Physical Requirements

• Regularly exposed to outdoor and indoor working conditions
• Frequent walking, lifting, bending, stooping, and carrying materials or tools
• May be exposed to cleaning chemicals and equipment
• Use of personal protective equipment (PPE) as required
