Job summary

Oasis Rehabilitation and Nursing in East Moriches, NY is seeking per diem Housekeepers/Porters to join our housekeeping team. The role involves performing daily housekeeping tasks in accordance with State, Federal, Health and Company standards, following the Director of Housekeeping Services, and keeping the facility clean and safe.

Shifts available include M-F, weekends as needed, morning and evening shifts. The position offers per diem employment and pays $24.65 per hour.

• Managing time effectively and having good organizational skills.
• Experienced or on the job training

Responsibilities

• Perform the day-to-day activities of the housekeeping department in accordance with State, Federal, Health and Company standards.
• Must follow instructions by the Director of Housekeeping Services, to ensure that the facility is maintained in a safe manner.
• Clean/polish furnishings, fixtures, ledges, room heating/cooling units, in restrooms, recreational areas, etc., daily as instructed.
• Discard waste/trash in proper containers and reline trash receptacles with a plastic liner.
• Must be able to lift 40-50 pounds.
• Ensure that work/cleaning schedules are followed as closely as possible
