Job summary

Spectrum Retirement Communities, LLC is seeking a part-time Cleaning Associate in Overland Park, KS. You will maintain the community’s cleanliness, handle exterior tasks, and assist the operations team. Schedule and duties may include weekends and holidays.

Candidates should have a high school diploma, English proficiency, and the ability to operate cleaning equipment safely. Ability to work independently and with a team is essential. Spectrum offers benefits and insurance options.

Responsibilities

• Maintain internal cleanliness of the community including dusting and cleaning fixtures.
• Exterior tasks such as pressure washing and landscaping as needed.
• Scrub/mop hard floors and clean carpets.
• Dispose of waste properly and keep trash areas clean.
• Assist operations by removing items left behind in vacant apartments.
• Deliver heavy objects/packages as required.

Job description

Schedule: Part-Time. Days and Hours Vary. Weekends and Holidays may be required.

In this position, your main responsibilities will include:

• Maintaining the internal cleanliness of the community including high dusting and cleaning of light fixtures, cleaning behind appliances
• Exterior related tasks such as pressure washing, landscaping / hardscaping as needed
• Scrubbing/mopping hard floor surfaces and cleaning carpeted surfaces
• Ensure proper handling and disposal of waste
• Keeping the trash rooms clean
• Assist the operations team with removing items left behind in empty apartments
• Delivery of heavy objects/packages

To be successful in this position, we believe that you need the following experiences and skills:

• High School diploma or equivalent is required.
• Must be able to read, write, speak, and understand the English language.
• Ability to safely operate carpet care equipment, hard floor care equipment, trash removal equipment, ladders, and any other equipment necessary for the cleanliness of the community. Previous experience in carpet and hard floor care is a plus but not required.
• Ability to work independently and as a contributing team member.
• Ability to be flexible and honor other requests from residents or departments that can be completed in the allotted time.
• Must be able to assist in the evacuation of residents in the event of an emergency.
