Job summary

CWS Apartment Homes is seeking a Porter to maintain grounds, amenities, and support the maintenance team at a luxury apartment community. You will handle minor service requests, prepare make-ready apartments, and help keep common areas, pool, and grounds inviting for residents.

Ideal candidates have a high school diploma or GED, janitorial experience, and CPO certification. The role requires timely communication with residents and vendors, a valid driver's license, and the ability to work varied

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• Janitorial experience preferred.
• CPO certification required.
• Valid driver’s license and current auto insurance required.
• Able to read service requests and schedules and converse with residents/vendors in English.
• Basic computer skills and ability to work varied schedules.

Responsibilities

• Maintain grounds and amenities and assist maintenance team with service requests.
• Complete minor service requests and prepare make-ready apartments.
• Maintain common areas and pool area.
• Maintain inventory and shop organization.
• Participate in resident satisfaction and preventative maintenance programs.
• Communicate with residents, investors, vendors, leadership, and team members.
• Travel within metropolitan areas and attend company functions as needed.

What Your Day Consists Of

• Complete minor service requests
• Prepare make-ready apartments
• Maintain common areas of the community
• Maintain pool area
• Maintain inventory and shop organization
• Participate in resident satisfaction programs
• Participate in preventative maintenance program
• Communicate with customers, residents, investors, vendors, leadership, and CWS team members
• Participate in the CWS Risk Management and Safety Programs

What You Bring To Us

• High school diploma or GED (preferred)
• Janitorial experience (preferred)
• CPO certification (required)
• Possess a valid driver’s license and current automobile insurance (required)
• Able to read service requests and schedules, and regularly converse with team members, residents and vendors in English
• Basic computer skills

Work Environment :

Work is performed throughout residential apartment communities, including occupied units, vacant apartments, exterior grounds, and maintenance areas. Position regularly involves exposure to varying temperatures, noise, dust, fumes, chemicals, power tools, and moving mechanical equipment.

Physical Requirements:

Requires frequent physical activity including walking, standing, bending, kneeling, crouching, climbing ladders, and working in confined or elevated spaces. Regularly lifts, carries, pushes, or pulls tools, appliances, equipment, and supplies up to 50 pounds. Position involves exposure to varying weather conditions, maintenance equipment, chemicals, and other environmental conditions associated with property maintenance operations.
